Colour Selection & Tips

The Permanent hair colours are capable of achieving up to 100% grey coverage. All of the natural shades 1N - 8N can cover 100% of grey hair.

If you’re using one of the fashion shades you just need to mix it with the same amount of the natural shade with the same number.

For example:
25ml 7D + 25ml 7N + 50ml Colourfix = fabulous fashion colour is capable of covering grey.
The only shade that may not 100% cover all grey is 10N.

The Bold Colours can be mixed to create different shades. However, we would always recommend you to perform a strand test prior to every application as this will give you a good indication on how the colour will appear on the hair, and you can then make an informed decision as to whether you wish to proceed with the full application.

The Bold Colours are not designed to be mixed with the Permanent or Henna Cream ranges.

Provided the hair has not been lightened recently, the hair can be immediately lightened, treated and the Bold Colour re-applied. However, if hair has been recently lightened then a professional should be consulted to determine whether the hair is fit for lightening.

To ensure vibrant, colourful results, if you have darker hair, we would recommend you to pre-lighten your hair to a light blonde with the Lightener Kit. The Bold Colours can be used on hair which has not been pre-lightened but results would not be vibrant unless you have naturally light, bright blonde hair.

Leaving the colour on the hair for 40 minutes and pre-treating with Hydrate Treatment will help achieve the best results. Pastel Colours would also be difficult to achieve unless the hair is pre-lightened or applied to naturally light bright blonde hair.
